Applications In The Coal Mining Industry
Application 1 Coal seam water injection pump
Coal seam water injection is an effective approach for reducing dust generation and dust concentrations during coal cutting operations, thereby improving the working environment and enhancing face productivity. To further enhance the dust‑suppression effectiveness of water injection, we propose adding a surfactant to the injection process to improve water penetration into the coal seam, addressing the issue of insufficient water infiltration into the coal’s microfractures and achieving more optimal dust control. Additionally, this method can effectively lower gas concentrations during coal cutting and also contribute to outburst prevention.
Application 2 Dust suppression by spraying
The dust‑suppression mechanism is advanced, and the spray‑based dust control delivers excellent results. The high‑pressure misting dust suppressor is mounted near the roadheader’s cutting head, ensuring that the rotating water mist continuously envelops the cutterhead, thereby significantly enhancing dust‑control performance. Installation is straightforward and does not interfere with the roadheader’s normal operation; moreover, the device itself features impact‑resistant and crush‑proof characteristics, guaranteeing long‑term, reliable, and stable system operation. An innovative helical‑threaded high‑pressure atomizing nozzle not only boosts dust‑removal efficiency but also eliminates nozzle clogging. An automatic filtration system installed inside the water tank ensures unobstructed flow through the high‑pressure pump and atomizing nozzles.
Application 3 Roof device
Hydraulic fracturing technology features minimal dynamic disturbance, high safety, and straightforward management—drawing on the established practices for handling high-pressure pipelines on hydraulic supports. It offers a wide single-hole control range, requires relatively small engineering effort, and enables long-distance deep-hole fracturing as needed, with substantial control distances. Moreover, it causes virtually no damage to the support structure, provides a favorable working environment, reduces costs, and boasts a broad range of applications.
Application 4 High-pressure water cutting seam
Extracting coalbed methane through hydraulic fracturing is a fundamental preventive measure for averting gas-related disasters in coal mines. Hydraulic fracturing induces relaxation and pressure relief in the coal seam, disrupts carbon‑fracture networks, and thereby increases the permeability of the coal seam by a factor of several to over ten. This enhanced permeability facilitates the extraction of coalbed methane, transforming high‑gas‑content seams into low‑ or even gas‑free seams, thus fundamentally preventing such hazards.
